Sweet Mother Recordings is a label based in Seattle, Washington. The imprint was founded in 1995 by DJ and former molecular biologist Nasir Rasheed and partners Alex Calderwood and Jared Harler with a focus to develop North American electronic music from artists such as The Verbrilli Sound, Dragonfly, and Plastiq Phantom. Significantly, the label's unerring success has prompted numerous companies to seek out Sweet Mother Recordings as a resource for new and interesting music.
