PIAS
Formed in '83 (originally a specialist record shop in Brussels), PIAS (or Play It Again Sam) is now a primary player in European independent music. From its offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, the U.K., Germany, France and the U.S., PIAS distributes labels such as Fatcat, Mushroom, Perfecto, and F Communications. Their own Pias Recordings represents the likes of Arling & Cameron, Mogwai, My Morning Jacket, Soulwax, and St. Germain.

St. Germain pioneered the sensual and sophisticated French house music by fusing soulful, organic deep house to classic jazz, creating a luscious, laid-back new sound that has often been imitated.
