Mountain Cooperative

Mountains? In Brooklyn? Well, who knows how they chose their name, but since 1994 New York City's Mountain Cooperative has been a model for community and teamwork. Anyone who's interested can get involved in the collectively run label and everyone who's involved gets the same amount of credit. The approach has worked well as The Mountain Cooperative has issued more than two dozen releases by artists from all over the map, both musically and geographically.

Atom and His Package
Atom and His Package is a heartwarming and humorous success story about a boy (Atom) and his sequencer (the so-called "package"). Atom programs punk-derived pop songs into the package and then bleats along, singing about such entertaining subjects as Black Metal and the metric system. If you have a sense of humor, you're going to love this.
