Kitty-Yo

Berlin-based Kitty-Yo got its start in 1993 when founders Raik Hölzel and Patrick Wagner (of Surrogat) met at Hölzel's weekly radio show. Kitty-Yo artists are sonic collagists who borrow elements from rock and pop, rap and hip hop, house and techno, abstract and experimental, and even jazz, to create heterogenous, forward-looking music that eloquently describes the complex cultural landscape they inhabit.
