Cooking Vinyl

The U.K.'s Cooking Vinyl Records established itself in the second half of the '80s as a folk-revival label with releases by Michelle Shocked, Cowboy Junkies, and Sweet Honey in the Rock. Later on in the '90s, Cooking Vinyl expanded its scope to include acts like The Wedding Present and Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine. Today Cooking Vinyl has assembled a remarkably eclectic high-quality roster which includes Ani DiFranco, Pere Ubu, Violent Femmes, They Might Be Giants, and Billy Bragg.
