AbNormal Recordings

Abnormal Recordings is the brainchild of self-confessed opinionated bastard Andy Blake and his much prettier partner in crime Amy (who is always last one off the dance floor and is also a very keen bullshit detector). Their focus is catchy underground techno house and they utilize the talents of the many South London producers of that ilk. Housey Doingz (aka Nathan Coles and Terry Francis) Doodlebug, Silver Lining, Roger Ring and Kevin Kleft (Big Hair), and Rob Wakeman are just some of the names to appear on Abnormal record sleeves. Check out the sound of the South London underground.

Housey Doingz
Phenomeneal funkiness results as slick and bumping percussion, sticky bass, and generous delerium-inducing effects pour forth from purveyors of truly remarkable U.K. Tech House. Big doings the housey way!

Belly Wobbler - 2000

Roger Ring & Kevin Kleft
Thick and chunky tribal rhythms and sharper techy sounds combine with elastic basslines on a funk tilt. One of the most memorable breakdowns ever set among excellent rhythms and energy. Perhaps a bit demented, but in the best possible way.

ABNO003 - 2000

Rob Wakeman
London house grooves with a slight French flair. At moments dubby and deep, the pure funk tilt of the bassline adds a lively undercurrent. Shimmering keys and sensual female vocal elements add to the techy atmosphere.
