Washington, DC's John Davis is an indie rock renaissance man. He's worn the various hats of 'zine publisher, writer, record label head, drummer, guitarist, singer, songwriter... he's been in some amazing bands like Q And Not U and Georgie James. His newest endeavor, Title Tracks released their newest album In Blank earlier this year and is currently playing a slew of shows on the east coast.

We asked John to curate a playlist for us, so listen, download, and go buy his album here. By the by, John's playlist selection is extra-long so we broke it into two parts. Here is part two.

"Epitonic is an interesting place, as its roots from around the turn of the millennium have left some serious circa-'99-'01 flotsam in its roster. I used to run a fanzine in the '90s and, briefly, into the '00s. I don't think I've thought of 98% of what was covered in that fanzine since it folded, but the bowels of Epitonic are bringing me back! None of that stuff really made my list, though, 'cause there was a good mix of other stuff to pull from. Classic punk  (Avengers/Bad Brains), 90s indie rock (Teenage Fanclub, Softies, Black Tambourine), canonized '80s/'90s alterna-royalty (Dinosaur, Sonic Youth) and plenty of good new bands, too (Kurt Vile, Fresh and Onlys, Dum Dum Girls, etc.)." - John Davis
