Dancing shoes were mandatory for one of our liveliest sessions to date, featuring Chicago '50s R&B rock revivalists The Bama Lamas.  Donning red velvet fez and unkempt suits with flasks of bourbon in the pocket, The Bamas ignited our space with soul-drenched garage rock that sounded like it was straight off of a dusty 45. The band kept the dance party loose and high energy with wailing saxophones and gritty anthems, many of which came from their 20 Minute Dance Party EP, a title that also perfectly describes their saki session. The Bama Lamas are like a jukebox full of your favorite new finds after digging through your parents old record collection in the basement.
