Critters Bugs Buggyin'
The house I moved into in March was previously abandoned for a couple of years prior. In that time the yard became neglected and overgrown and this must have created some sort of hare haven. Almost every day when I come home from work and walk from my car, and through the back yard to the house, I see two bunnies relaxing. Then I was mowing the yard a few days ago [me doing yard work is a sight in itself] and came inches from ending the lives of some of the cutest lil' creatures imaginable. Baby bunnies that fit in the palm of one's hand went hopping into the bushes. The neighbor kid now walks around with one of them in his pocket constantly, I'm pretty positive that the parental bunnies will shun the tainted bunny now, and that bums me out. But there's not much I can do about it, and it seems like little Javier has a nice pet. Although the father said something in broken English about eating them once they got to a certain weight, d'oh...
