Westside Chemical
ACAB Records
Westside Chemical is comprised of two guys from Dublin and one from San Francisco who claim to be functional alcoholics. Their music style is best described as drum and bass, but they also cite jazz, techno, hip hop, and dub as stylistic influences. Westside Chemical has been compared to Orb, Jacob's Optical Stairway, 4-Hero, Plaid, Plug, and The KLF.
Members Tom Moloney, Jamie Lemoine, and William Kehoe formed the band in 1995. The first album to their credit is Phibsborough, released on Sunburn Records in 1998. Expect more great music out on their own ACAB imprint soon. Westside Chemical currently work out of the drum and bass breeding grounds of San Francisco, Calif.
