Weston
Gern Blandsten Records
Weston was a pop-punk rock quartet from Pennsylvania. They recorded their debut album, A Real-Life Story of Teenage Rebellion in 1994, during an exciting period for those who liked to pogo but hated school. 1996 saw the release of Splitsville, a singles collection featuring the track "Hard To Say Goodbye." Weston's lightning-paced pop songs are laced with tales of teenage heartbreak, depression, and general discontent with the state of own existence. While bands of a similar flavor at this time were showing up on MTV and Lollapalooza tours, Weston kept it where many people think this kind of integrity-fueled rock should have stayed, in the basements and all-ages venues of America.
