Scott Taylor, angst-ridden guitarist and songwriter of the The Grifters has been
riding the home recording wave since his days in high school in the mid-'80s.
The Hot Monkey releases are his unadulterated, pre-The Grifters hits that have not
been touched by the miracle of modern overdubbing or collaboration. Sparse,
desolate, and drug induced, these are songs for the times when the rest of the world is
asleep and the bars have closed and the beer is all gone and the girl went home with someone else.
