The 1985 are an electrocution in progress; they are a radio knocked into your bathtub; they are a heart attack in the making. They make you feel like you've got a brain full of needles. Since their formation in Pittsburgh in 1995, the '85 have spitting out violent, herky-jerky punk rock scatter paintings that bear lineage to Gang of Four, PiL, The Contortions, the Birthday Party and Clikatat Ikatowi. These tracks come from their two 1999 releases, Obscured by Pink Clouds and Nerve Eighty. This stuff is dangerous, so keep it away from children and elderly people. The 1985 causes hysteria, confusion, and even epileptic seizures in some. Avoid mixing with alcohol or antibiotics.
