Stuntman
Magwheel Records
Stuntman rises from the ashes of The Treepeople, a band important in the early 90's American Northwest explosion. The Treepeople also spawned Doug Martsch of Built To Spill. This Boise, Idaho quartet has created a powerful record here with a very unique sound. Imagine the pop of Built to Spill meeting the rock of The Jesus Lizard; maybe throw in some Knapsack and... oh, who knows.
The point is that there is some intricate and huge guitar work, great song writing and melodies, along with a solid and expressive rhythm section. This yields their own sound, the Stuntman sound.
