Norken's latest endeavor, Spring Themes (title track offered herein), from our lofty friends at Hydrogen Dukebox, is u-ziq to our ears. Like u-ziq, Lee Norris (the sole member of Norken) keeps it minimal and to the point. Conjuring images of the Japanese metro, you're taken along for an unforgettable ride (though thankfully not as crammed). As infectious as u-ziq, Norken also harkens to Norris' partnership with Dominic Kennedy (aka Metamatics). Most assuredly, you'll be hearing this one at your friendly neighborhood teahouse.
