For the past seven years, Jen Wood has wrenched the hearts of not only her fellow Seattle, Washington natives but also her many far-flung fans. After playing in groups such as Madigan (now known as Bonfire Madigan) and Tattletale, and releasing records on such respected labels as K Records and Kill Rock Stars, Wood has struck out on her own. The result is her Tree Records effort No More Wading.
Wood has enjoyed glowing reviews for her simple and sweet vocals accompanied only by her acoustic guitar. Instead of burying her songs behind layers of instruments, she keeps her gentle touch of the guitar and soft voice out in the open for everyone to soak in like the sun. She remains exposed for the world to hear: every chord, every breath, every emotion.
