Growing up with an affection for the early days of 4AD helps shape the sounds of this record into an entrancing mixture of the big league female songwriting of Bjork and Sarah McLachlan with the lush layers and beats of the Cocteau Twins and Portishead. On her stunning debut album Post to Wire, Duby gets songwriting help from producer extrordinaire Steve Fisk and musical contributions from former members of Bob Dylan’s band and the infamous Tad.
