Fetish

A rousing, caffeinated explosion of a band, fierce, searing, and tough as they come. From the fertile punk rock lands of Oakland, CA.
This provocatively titled new Oakland quartet has a powerful, hard-driving sound that pulls no punches. "Pop-punk" this ain't. Ranging from Dead Kennedys-style diatribe-punk rants to the borderline psychotic garage rawk of bands like the Murder City Devils, Fetish never slows down to let you take a breath. But even while centering their sound on the manic, cynical sing-speak of vocalist Matthew Olyphant and the towering nastiness of Brian Galli's thick guitar, Fetish varies its approach enough to make each song a different experience. The band's first LP, the 13-song Silver, came out on Adeline in 2000.
