From his base in British Columbia, E.D. Swankz brings a love of rhythm and melody, an array of unique experiences in classical piano and jazz and rock drumming, and an acute knowledge of Canadian tax law to the Upstairs Recordings table. His music combines the kitsch '70s appeal of Air with the tight beat programming of Thievery Corporation. "Daiquiri Astronaut" is culled from the Upstairs Recordings compilation Deepdown Tempos Vol.1, while "Daytime Dramamine" and "Into The Sake" are taken from the follow-up, Headlands: Deepdown Tempos Vol. 2. Both compilations also come with tracks from Upstairs regulars Telefuzz and The Verbrilli Sound. It doesn't get any smoother than this.
