Drum and bass? In Oakland?!! Yes, yes y'all! Deep Fat Fried is dropping breaks, styles, and science into the boiling, bubbling cauldron on the east end of the Bay Bridge. The duo's Oakland Drum'n'Bass Experiment EP (all of which is available here) turned up mysteriously at several local research facilities late last year, and has been linked to a number of recent discoveries in the fields of ragga, jump-up, and downtempo breaks.
