Dano has been quietly blowing up on the club scene ever since he made the pilgrimage from Sun Valley, Idaho to the Bay Area in '94. He made his name in a number of different roles, including club promoter and DJ, and more recently, producer, A&R scout, and label boss. His Red Melon imprint has been causing a major stir on both sides of the Atlantic, and his own production work has led to a number of overseas signings to labels such as Low Pressings, Moody, Elektric Soul, Grayhound, and Siesta. NYC master of madness Joeski is a member of the notorious Chocolate Factory collective, which also includes DJ and producer extraordinaire Onionz. In addition to his busy DJ itinerary, Joeski manages to run the hugely successful Elektric Soul imprint.
Together, Dano and Joeski record under their given names, and as Twisted Pair for a number of labels, including Red Melon and Grayhound Recordings. "For Your Love," released on Garth's respected Grayhound label, is a warm peak-hour ditty complemented with smooth male vocals and deep moving beats. Both "Chikkovox" and "Plastic Dub," taken from Chikko on Red Melon, will appeal to those who like their house on a tougher, more hypnotic tip. Transplant Nathan Coles, Azad Rizvi, and Terry Francis from Croydon, South London to Oakland, California, and this is the kind of music that they would make -- deep sexy tech-house.
