Audio Soul Project (Mazi) is a rising house producer who bridges the gap between quirky Chicago funk and loose San Francisco soul. His initial releases for Afterhours and Gourmet prompted Brique Rouge and Grayhound to license his work.

Mazi makes house music for the soul. The Chicago-based producer has wooed the world with deft deep house ditties on labels such as Afterhours (part of the Underground Construction empire), Gourmet Records, Brique Rouge, and more recently, San Francisco's Grayhound Records. As Audio Soul Project and under his own name, Mazi creates house so deep it sucks you under. "Back To Joy" and "Getting Tha Feeling," released on Garth's Grayhound imprint, are tough prime-time house tracks that have been caned by the creme de le creme of the house world.
