San Jose-based Arturo Garces has been fanatical about dance music ever since he was let loose on his father's extensive disco and funk collection. Lured into DJing by his older cousin (as you can tell, his family gave him no choice but to be a musician), Garces landed a job in a record shop in '92. Three years later, Garces entered the realm of live broadcast with a popular mix that combined the best in underground house and techno. A polished club DJ, Garces has since turned his hand to production with releases on labels such as Audio Abuse, Plush, and Solid Trax. "On The Move," produced with Lucas Rodenbush -- aka E.B.E. -- was released as part of the Selected Sessions Vol. 3 EP on Jump Recordings.
